Apr 6 2010 Georgia to a pillow fight
BY: Jonny Comments OffA huge month of travelling has come to an end with a 15hour trip to Georgia to play in Athens. Athens was great fun played alongside Ancient Astronauts and Motion Potion at the Silent Disco event. Silent Disco is excellent fun in which a room full of people are handed radio headphones and can all hear the same DJ mix. It’s great fun removing the headphones to hear a room full of shuffling wooping people. The trip to Georgia was super short as I had to return to NYC to play at the Bellhouse for the Pillowfight Afterparty. Played alongside Udachi and B Rich, both of whom we have been fans of since first checking their stuff out on the Palms Out blog. Ian has just moved to New York and so tomorrow night me and him will be DVJing from our rooftop in Brooklyn and streaming Audio & Video live on our USTREAM channel. Party starts 8pm East Coast time and goe’s on for a while and a bit after that. We might even have some guests both musical and talkative dropping by.
Now we mainly got gigs in New York for the next month so we gonna be getting some much needed time to make beats and complete projects. For now if you haven’t already check out Speaking With Video and our brand new mixtape We Still Kill.
Mar 28 2010 Retreat to Bed
BY: Jonny Comments OffMiami WMC this year has been excellent to us. For the last 4 days me and our agent Seth (Scobes) have been sleeplessly touring, playing and enjoying the parties of WMC. We arrived to the much cheaper to fly into west palm airport and proceeded to spend our first night playing golf at midnight on a floodlight green at Seth’s mate’s house. The next morning we got and i went to Eden Rock hotel to compete in the first WMC DVJ competition, which I won. This was immensely fun and I went immediately to somewhere at the back of the hotel to celebrate with old friends and also several new ones. I met Tom Le Roc for the first time, and EBN member Gardner Post. We retreated back to Casa del Scobes for the last night of sleep we were to have all week. The next day our good friend Mark Roemer got me onto the Sasha/Digweed boat party whilst Seth went to check out Boys Noize at Hard Party. Met a few old friends and new ones on the boat. Afterwards we went with Mark and Amy to Mansion where we were very kindly invited to hang out behind where Sasha and Digweed were spinning. We split for a night cap and managed to make it to bed by 8am. Friday we played at the Standard Hotel, very nice spot. I accosted several DJs who seemed to just be rolling on by. Drop The Lime, Tommy Sunshine, Steve Aoki and DJ A-Trak all received a slight hassling from me and were all very nice about it. I was mostly star struck.

Mar 22 2010 SXSW: Back from Austin
BY: Jonny Comments OffAs expected Austin was off the hook. Highlights for me were the Twitter and Thrillist parties. Kid Sister was lovely and her set was excellent. I spent every few moment meeting up with the many friends who were in town and hanging with my good friends and Austin Residents Sharri, Robin and Tim. One of my oldest friends who I haven’t seen since leaving England in 2007 was also in Austin so the whole week was pretty special for me. Was loving reading the tweets that had popper up during shows, especially (obviously) the twitter show. An amazing week , I barely slept, returned to New York and passed out for two days.

Unfortunately Saturday night’s gig with the Disco Biscuits got cancelled due to the guitarist Jon having a wrist injury. I am now prepping for WMC which starts off for us with a VJ Battle. Then we playing the Standard and Ultrafest as well as dropping by a few other parties and playing this.

Also been experimenting with DVJ sets on Ustream, think I’m gonna play tonight (monday night) around 10ish East Coast time.
Mar 15 2010 Tweet Tweet

Having so much fun here in Austin. I think I’ve slept about 8 hours total in the last 4 days but every time I approach a bed something else happens. Last nights first ever official SXSW Twitter party was off the hook, the most fun crowd we had since arriving on Friday. Was fun to watch the tweets and right after the show. Fitting too, we’ve been here at SXSW tweeting the f*&K out of S&^%. Massive thanks to the twitter crew and especially Chloe for having us come play.

Tonight we playing with Kid Sister for the Thrillist / Downtown Records party then we heading off for late night set at ATX Emerge. Tomorrow is a day off (sort of) but i will actually get a chance to go around SXSW a little.
Mar 11 2010 South Westward Bound
BY: Jonny Comments OffMexico City was wicked. So much fun. Thanks to Adan, Mariana and Romina for looking after us. We discovered the delights of mescal , rocked a party, visited the Zoo and went to Adan’s birthday in a church. We slept the whole flight home. Right now I’m preparing now for SXSW in Austin. 5am flight. I am playing 9 gigs in 7 days. And right now Geoff and Ian are on a plane from London to Mexico, they are playing tomorrow night in Puebla. Whilst they are doing that I am playing the Ustream party in Austin with Gym Class Hero and Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz.
USTREAM – SXSW – Friday, March 12 Event Invite from Eclectic Method on Vimeo.
The Ustream party is being streamed on Ustream so you can all tune in on the official SXSW Ustream page. The show takes place 8pm till Midnight CST Time. Then Saturday night is the TUMBLR VS SOUNDCLOUD VS KICKSTARTER party.

We’ve set up a soundcloud page for some of our tunes/remixes. We’ll of course be overtweeting from SXSW. Last year at SXSW was the first time I saw the geographical fun of twitter. The festival is spread out over one chunk of city so becomes easy to post your location, out of the blue occurance or secret party location and then get to it quick.
Being that there are 9 Eclectic Method shows in 7 days, i have been furiously burning DVDs and CDs from our archives and of new stuff so that every show can be a completely different experience for me. Looking forward to not very much sleep, lots of partying and seeing my good friends Sharri and Paul in the same place for the first time ever.
Oh also we put up some snippets from the Copyright Criminals Documentary. One more flyer…. why not?

*** they put us at the bottom of this flyer, so i put them last
