Sep 21 2009 Toronto International Film Festival

Just got back to NYC yesterday from Toronto. The weekend was amazing although we didn’t make it to any movies. We played the closing party in Dundas Square with Chuck D and Clyde Stubblefield. We did about 10 minutes of rehearsal with Chuck and Clyde before launching ourselves into the show. Clyde laid down some amazingly sick beats over our AV stuff and Chuck rhymed along and verbally instructed the crowd. Such an amazing experience, we always play so much Public Enemy in our shows that I would momentarily forget Chuck was on stage with us. I kept on hearing the vocals for Bring The Noise or Shut Em Down coming out of nowhere only to remember Chuck was actually standing there singing it. We were initially only supposed to play for an hour and half but Chuck amp’d the crowd up so much that they asked us to play for 3 hours if we felt like it. Obviously we felt like it. We even filmed a bunch of it and will slam it online soon.
