AV Remix Pioneers Eclectic Method Announce Participation with Activision in Los Angeles’ E3 Conference

(New York, NY – June 2, 2009) – Eclectic Method, the world’s premier video remix trio, announced today their participation in the E3 Conference in Los Angeles, California, held June 2–4. Building upon several highly successful live New York events this Spring, the trio will convene on the West Coast to create live, improvised audiovisual remixes of Activision video games, including Guitar Hero, the newly revealed DJ Hero, Tony Hawk, and many more, further influencing their cultural zeitgeist as today’s eminent video remix masters.

From Pop music to Pop Culture, Eclectic Method has sampled and re-cut everything from Britney Spears to Barack Obama. Now, with the E3 Conference, Eclectic Method expands their artistic talents into the gaming sphere, the fastest growing media industry in recent years. At Activision’s E3 mega-booth, complete with 35′ HD LED screens, Eclectic Method will be doing what they do best: performing live. Five performances, including the kick-off Activision celebration, are scheduled over the course of the three-day conference that combine the virtual reality with reality.

Sharing the stage with DJ Shadow, Z-Trip, and Cut Chemist, each Eclectic Method performance will mix gaming content with thematically relevant real world footage. While a digital Tony Hawk pulls virtual skate tricks, Eclectic Method will cut and splice actual skate footage, interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage of the modern legend. All four games, interviews, scenes, and real world content will be mashed, scratched, and matched to beats that will surpass any expectation and take the gaming world to the next level.
