Toronto’s own Keys N Krates broke ground in the states just a few short months ago. Since their debut, they’ve charted full page in the esteemed URB Magazine’s Next 100 profiling artists on the rise. Back home, they have no problem filling a room for their unique “live remixing” ensemble, here in the states has seemed to show the same energy. Egg Foo Young AKA Michna of electronic music’s renown Ghostly International label, is a Brooklyn based DJ and producer who’s garnered a nice following of the industry’s elite ears. His unique sound of funk and jazz influenced electronica is a seamless blend of house, hip hop, downtempo and even IDM beats. As we speak, Egg Foo Young is on the rooftop of the Standard Hotel in Hollywood DJ’ing the Ghostly pool party as a side gig during his trip to LA opening for Toxic Avenger.
