SXSW was alarming, sort of magical in a corporate, desperately social way but essentially charming. I’m gonna get me one of these “start-ups”. It will give me something to talk about at dinner.

Played the party of Rip: A Remix Manifesto attended by Alex Jones, local legend; Lawrence Lessig, copyright conquestador and Morgan Spurlock, whose movie was at Sundance one of the years we played. We were smoking outside the main bit and usual chat, asked him what his movie was about. Really? McDonalds for a month? That sounds shit. You’ve wasted your time. Shows what I know.

Lawrence Lessig stood up for the manifesto at a lively Q&A after the screening on Sunday. Then the sun came out the very next day. Coincidence?
