On 12 February 2009, 100+ cities around the world will be hosting Twestivals bringing together local Twitter communities for an evening of fun as well as raising money and awareness for Charity: water. Twestival.fm is a global online music project in association with Twestival aiming to raise an additional $20,000 for charity. Artists, musicians and labels using Twitter can give something back to the community by donating their music.

From 5th February to the 19th February all donated tracks will be available to be streamed and downloaded at Twestival.fm. Music fans are then invited to make a voluntary payment or ‘tip’ in a unique charitable take on the ‘pay what you want’ model made successful last year by Radiohead.
